Clinical commentary 臨床

Seventeen herbs and the chapter's most complete statement of what 'regulating' means — the source lists five jobs in a row: open the chest, clear constraint, transform phlegm, disperse food, and put the whole in order. Four ounces of earth-fried atractylodes anchor it. The lotus-leaf-and-aged-rice binder is the same one used for Jichul-hwan, the ancestor of this whole family, and its presence here is a signature. — Eui Young (Justin) Chung, L.Ac., Dipl. O.M.
