Translation

Treats leg qi with swelling and pain. Black morning glory seed, the raw first-ground powder, 2 nyang; rhubarb, areca nut, and unripe bitter orange, 5 don each. Clinical commentary 臨床

Four ingredients, all of them aimed downward — the chapter's damming theory applied without ornament. Black morning glory seed at four ounces leads, taken as the first-ground powder, which is the more potent fraction. Named for searching out wind, though what it actually does is open the bowel. — Eui Young (Justin) Chung, L.Ac., Dipl. O.M.
