Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑
治九氣作痛. 香附子ㆍ片子薑黃ㆍ甘草(灸) 各等分. 右爲末, 每服二錢, 鹽湯點服. 《得效》
Translation
Treats pain arising from the nine qi. Cyperus, turmeric and licorice (mix-fried) in equal parts. Powder them and take 2 don at a time sprinkled into salt decoction. — Seui Deukhyobang 得效 (Donguibogam · Gi)
Clinical commentary 臨床
The nine qi are the Neijing's — anger, joy, grief, fear, cold, heat, fright, taxation and thought — and 4.15 gives them. Three medicinals for all nine, taken in salt water: cyperus to move, turmeric to break, salt to carry it down. — Eui Young (Justin) Chung, L.Ac., Dipl. O.M.
