Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑
治酒色過度, 妄泄眞陰, 以致陰虛火動. 黃柏(鹽水炒) 一錢半, 天門冬ㆍ貝母ㆍ黃連(薑汁炒) 各一錢, 杏仁 七分半, 知母ㆍ生地黃 各七分, 紫菀ㆍ赤芍藥 各六分, 天花粉ㆍ桔梗ㆍ片芩ㆍ當歸ㆍ白茯苓 各五分, 白朮 二分半, 五味子 九枚. 右剉, 作一貼, 入梅一箇, 燈心一撮, 同煎服. 卽東實西虛, 瀉南補北湯也. 《醫鑑》
Translation
Treats excess of wine and sex recklessly discharging the true Yin, bringing Yin vacuity with stirring fire. Salt-water-fried phellodendron 1.5 don; asparagus root, fritillaria, and ginger-juice-fried coptis, 1 don each; apricot kernel 0.75 don; anemarrhena and raw rehmannia, 0.7 don each; aster root and red peony, 0.6 don each; trichosanthes root, platycodon, scutellaria lamina, Korean angelica, and white poria, 0.5 don each; white atractylodes 0.25 don; 9 grains of schisandra. Cut the above, make one packet, add 1 mume plum and a pinch of rush pith, and decoct together. This is none other than the East-Replete-West-Vacuous, Drain-the-South-and-Supplement-the-North Decoction. — Uigam 醫鑑 (Donguibogam · Heoro)
