Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑

治婦人因崩漏大脫血, 或男子去血過多, 因而涸燥, 循衣摸床撮空, 閉目不省, 揚手擲足, 錯語失神, 鼻乾氣麄. 生地黃ㆍ川芎ㆍ當歸 各一錢半, 赤芍藥ㆍ山梔子ㆍ黃芩ㆍ黃連 各七分, 防風 二錢. 右剉, 水煎, 徐徐呷下. 此危證也. 以此救之. 《入門》

Translation

Treats a woman after flooding with great loss of blood, or a man after excessive blood loss, so that the blood is dried up — picking at the clothes, groping at the bed and clutching at the air, the eyes closed and unaware, the arms and legs flailing, confused speech and loss of spirit, the nose dry and the breath coarse. Fresh rehmannia, chuanxiong and angelica 1 don 5 pun each; red peony, gardenia, scutellaria and coptis 7 pun each; saposhnikovia 2 don. Cut up, decoct in water and sip slowly.
