Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑

治氣血凝滯, 成鼓脹積聚. 枳殼米泔浸去瓤切片, 四兩分作 四分. 一分, 蒼朮 一兩, 以水同煮乾, 炒黃色, 去蒼朮. 一分, 蘿葍子 一兩, 以水同煮乾, 炒黃色, 去蘿葍子. 一分, 茴香 一兩, 以水同煮乾, 炒黃色, 去茴香. 一分, 乾漆 一兩, 以水同煮乾, 炒黃色, 去乾漆. 香附子醋浸炒 二兩, 三稜ㆍ蓬朮 各二兩(童便幷浸一宿, 次日, 用去殼巴豆 三十粒, 同水煮乾, 炒黃色, 去巴豆不用). 右爲末, 用前同炒蒼朮ㆍ蘿葍子ㆍ茴香ㆍ乾漆, 同煮取汁, 好醋一椀, 打麪糊和丸梧子大. 米飮下七九十丸. 《回春》

Translation

Treats qi and blood congealed and stagnant, forming drum distension with accumulation and gathering. Bitter orange, steeped in rice-washing water, the pith removed and sliced, 4 nyang divided into four parts. One part is boiled dry with 1 nyang of atractylodes lancea and fried to a yellow colour, and the atractylodes discarded. One part likewise with 1 nyang of radish seed, which is then discarded. One part likewise with 1 nyang of fennel, which is then discarded. One part likewise with 1 nyang of dried lacquer, which is then discarded. Cyperus, vinegar-steeped and fried, 2 nyang; sparganium and curcuma 2 nyang each, both steeped overnight in child's urine, then the next day boiled dry with 30 peeled croton kernels and fried to a yellow colour, the croton discarded and not used. Powder them; take the atractylodes, radish seed, fennel and dried lacquer that were fried with the bitter orange, boil them together and take the liquor, add a bowl of good vinegar, work into a wheat paste and make pills the size of a firmiana seed.
