Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑

治痔大便燥硬, 痛不可忍. 秦艽ㆍ桃仁泥ㆍ皂角仁(燒存性) 各一兩, 當歸梢ㆍ澤瀉ㆍ枳實ㆍ白朮各五錢, 地楡三錢. 右爲末, 麪糊和丸芡實大, 令藥丸光滑, 焙乾, 白湯下五七十丸, 羹饍壓下. 《東垣》

Translation

Treats piles with the stool dry and hard and the pain past bearing. Gentiana macrophylla, peach kernel paste and gleditsia kernel (burnt with the nature retained) 1 nyang each; angelica tails, alisma, immature bitter orange and white atractylodes 5 don each; sanguisorba 3 don. Powder them, bind with flour paste into pills the size of a fox-nut, make the pills smooth and glossy and bake them dry; take fifty to seventy with plain hot water, pressed down with soup or food. — Dongwon 東垣 (Donguibogam · Hueum)
