Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑

治胎漏下血. 白朮三錢半, 枳殼ㆍ黃芩各一錢七分半. 右剉, 作一貼, 水煎服. 《保命》

Translation

Treats fetal leaking with descent of blood. White atractylodes 3.5 don; bitter orange husk and scutellaria, 1 don 7.5 fun each. Cut the above, make one packet, decoct in water and take. — Bomyeong 保命 (Donguibogam · Buin)

Clinical commentary 臨床

Three herbs, and the proportions carry the doctrine — atractylodes at double rank holding the center that holds the pregnancy, with scutellaria cooling the heat that pushes blood out and bitter orange husk keeping the Qi moving so the securing does not become stagnation.
