Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑
治婦人因産脬破, 小便不禁. 人參ㆍ白朮 各二錢, 桃仁ㆍ陳皮ㆍ黃芪ㆍ白茯苓ㆍ川芎ㆍ當歸 各一錢. 右剉, 作一貼, 入猪脬或羊脬, 同煎空心服. 《丹溪》 ○一婦人難産, 因收生者不謹, 以致尿脬損破, 得小便淋瀝, 病遂爲廢人. 予思之, 肌肉破傷在外者尙可補完, 脬雖在腹, 恐亦可治. 診其脈虛甚, 試與峻補, 以此方煎, 以猪羊脬湯, 極飢時飮之, 一月而安. 盖是血氣驟長, 其脬自完. 恐稍遲, 亦難成功也.
Translation
Treats a woman whose bladder was broken in childbirth, with urine not held. Ginseng and white atractylodes 2 don each; peach kernel, tangerine peel, astragalus, white poria, chuanxiong and angelica 1 don each. Cut up, make one packet, add a pig's or a sheep's bladder, decoct together and take on an empty stomach. — Danggye 丹溪 (Donguibogam · Sobyeon) A woman had a difficult labour, and because the midwife was careless her urinary bladder was torn, so that the urine dribbled and she was made an invalid. I considered: flesh torn on the outside can still be mended whole — the bladder, though it is within the belly, may perhaps be treated too. I took her pulse and found it greatly vacuous, and tried drastic supplementation: this formula decocted with a pig's or sheep's bladder, drunk at the height of hunger. In a month she was well. It is because the blood and qi grew fast and the bladder closed of itself; had one delayed even a little, it would have been hard to succeed.
