Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑
治肉苛證. 苛者, 麻重也. 前胡ㆍ白芷ㆍ細辛ㆍ官桂ㆍ白朮ㆍ川芎 各三兩, 吳茱萸ㆍ附子(炮)ㆍ當歸 各二兩, 川椒 三錢. 右剉搗, 以茶酒三升拌勻, 同浸一宿, 以猪脂五斤入藥微煎, 候白芷黃色去滓, 熬成膏. 病在處摩之, 以熱爲度. 《河間》
Translation
Treats the pattern of numb heavy flesh. 苛 means numb and heavy. Peucedanum, angelica dahurica, asarum, cinnamon, white atractylodes and chuanxiong 3 nyang each; evodia, aconite (blast-fried) and angelica 2 nyang each; Sichuan pepper 3 don. Cut and pound them, mix evenly with three seung of tea and wine and steep overnight; put them into five geun of lard and simmer gently, and when the angelica dahurica turns yellow strain off the dregs and boil down to an ointment.
