Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑

治咳嗽痰喘. 陳皮二錢, 半夏ㆍ南星(並製) 各一錢半, 杏仁一錢, 五味子ㆍ甘草各八分, 欵冬花ㆍ人參各七分. 右剉, 作一貼, 薑五片, 水煎服. 《丹心》

Translation

Treats cough with phlegm panting. Tangerine peel, 2 don; pinellia and arisaema, both processed, 1 don 5 fun each; apricot kernel, 1 don; schisandra and licorice, 8 fun each; coltsfoot and ginseng, 7 fun each. Cut up, make one packet, add five slices of ginger and decoct in water. — Dangye Simbeop 丹心 (Donguibogam · Haesu)

Clinical commentary 臨床

Pinellia and arisaema together, both processed, with tangerine peel at double weight: this is the heaviest phlegm formula of the panting group, and the pairing is the standard one for a thick, sticky sputum that will not come up.
