Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑

治砂淋急痛. 海金沙七錢半, 滑石五錢. 右爲末, 取二錢, 以木通ㆍ麥門冬ㆍ車前草煎湯, 入蜜少許調下. 《丹心》

Translation

Treats sand strangury with acute pain. Lygodium spore 7 don 5 pun; talc 5 don. Powder them and take 2 don stirred into a decoction of akebia, ophiopogon and plantain, with a little honey added. — Dansim 丹心 (Donguibogam · Sobyeon)

Clinical commentary 臨床

Two medicinals, and both are simply slippery — the whole treatment is to make the gravel slide. The draught does as much work as the powder. — Eui Young (Justin) Chung, L.Ac., Dipl. O.M.
