Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑
吐瘧. 常山 二兩, 藜蘆 五錢. 右麄末, 取二錢, 水一鍾, 煎至七分, 溫服. 《丹心》
Translation
Ejects malaria. Dichroa root 2 nyang, black false hellebore root 5 don. Grind coarsely, take 2 don, decoct in 1 cup of water down to seven parts, and take warm. — Dansim 丹心 (Donguibogam · To)
Clinical commentary 臨床
Dichroa root is the tradition's antimalarial and is genuinely active — it contains febrifugine — but it is also a powerful emetic, which is why it appears in this chapter rather than only in the malaria one.
