Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑

治産後嘔不止. 丁香ㆍ辰砂(另硏) 各六分, 五靈脂一錢. 右硏勻, 用狗膽或猪膽, 和丸芡實大, 以生薑ㆍ陳皮煎湯, 磨化一丸服之. 《本事》

Treats vomiting after birth that will not stop. Clove and separately ground cinnabar, 6 fun each; flying-squirrel droppings 1 don. Clinical commentary 臨床

Three ingredients for the vomiting that decoctions have failed to touch — clove's warmth, cinnabar's weight, and flying-squirrel droppings for the stasis underneath. The binder is the striking part: animal bile, bitter and downward-moving, chosen for a symptom that is entirely upward.
