Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑

治同上. 羌活ㆍ升麻ㆍ乾葛ㆍ白芍藥ㆍ人參ㆍ柴胡ㆍ甘草各一錢. 右剉, 作一貼, 入連鬚葱白三莖, 水煎服. 《東垣》

Translation

Treats the same as the above. Notopterygium, cimicifuga, kudzu root, white peony, ginseng, bupleurum, and licorice, 1 don each. Cut the above, make one packet, add three scallion whites with their whiskers, decoct in water and take. — Dongwon 東垣 (Donguibogam · Hwa)

Seven herbs at one flat dose, three scallion whites in the pot — the effusing method stripped to its plainest statement.
