Clinical commentary 臨床

The formula for the byeong years, where the water circuit is in excess. Despite the premise of cold in abundance the prescription is a cooling one: coptis and scutellaria clear the heart, poria and plantago and tetrapanax free the water, polygala and ophiopogon quiet the spirit. It is aimed at the presenting heat and agitation rather than at the year's cold, which is the right instinct for 身熱 with 譫妄. — Eui Young (Justin) Chung, L.Ac., Dipl. O.M.
