Tangerine peel 5 nyang; licorice 3 nyang 3 don; Korean angelica, fish-poison yam, cistanche, evodia, magnolia bark, cinnamon bark, actinolite, morinda, dendrobium, blast-fried aconite, cuscuta, achyranthes, deer antler, eucommia, and dried ginger, 1 nyang each. Powder the above; in a porcelain vessel simmer the tangerine-peel powder with 1.5 doe of wine until thick as malt syrup, stir in the remaining powders evenly, pound, and roll into pills the size of parasol-tree seeds. Take 50–70 pills with warm wine or salted water on an empty stomach. — Immun 入門 (Donguibogam · Heoro)

Clinical commentary 臨床

The name announces the method and the doctrine at once — a quarter of the formula is tangerine peel, boiled into the syrup that carries fifteen warm tonics, because in a stomach this weak the moving herb must outweigh any single builder or nothing gets delivered at all. — Eui Young (Justin) Chung, L.Ac., Dipl. O.M.
