Translation

Treats a woman having blood-line tracks throughout the skin of the trunk and the hands and feet. This is anger damaging the Liver, so that the Blood loses its normal channels. Red tangerine peel 4 nyang; Korean angelica 2 nyang. Powder the pair and bind with honey into pills the size of parasol-tree seeds; take 50–70 pills with warm wine. — Immun 入門 (Donguibogam · Buin)

Clinical commentary 臨床

The observation is what makes this entry worth having: visible red lines running through the skin of the trunk and limbs, explained as anger damaging the Liver until the Blood leaves its proper channels. The description matches spider angiomas and telangiectasia closely enough to be striking — and the classical attribution to the Liver, arrived at by an entirely different route, lands near where modern medicine also looks. Two herbs: peel to move the Qi, angelica to rebuild the Blood. — Eui Young (Justin) Chung, L.Ac., Dipl. O.M.
