Translation

Treats cold damage in which too much sweating has been induced, so that the leaking does not stop and the four limbs are cramped and hard to bend and stretch. Cinnamon twig and aconite (blast-fried) 3 don each; white peony 2 don; licorice (mix-fried) 1 don. Cut up, make one packet, and decoct in water with 5 slices of ginger and 2 jujubes. — Uihak Immun 入門 (Donguibogam · Jinaek)

Clinical commentary 臨床

Guizhi-tang with aconite — Zhongjing's answer to a sweat that has been pushed too far. 5.14's yang collapse is the iatrogenic case, and the cramping is what the Cold Damage treatise recognized as the body drying out. The Sweating chapter warns against exactly this. **Contains aconite, which is toxic.** — Eui Young (Justin) Chung, L.Ac., Dipl. O.M.
