Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑

治遺精夢泄. 晩蚕蛾二兩, 肉蓯蓉ㆍ白茯苓ㆍ益智各一兩, 龍骨五錢. 右爲末, 鹿角膠酒浸化開, 和丸梧子大, 每服三十丸, 空心, 溫酒下, 乾物壓之. 《羅謙甫》

Translation

Treats seminal emission and discharge in dreams. Late silkworm moth 2 nyang; cistanche, white poria and alpinia 1 nyang each; dragon bone 5 don. Powder them, dissolve deer antler glue in wine and bind into pills the size of a firmiana seed; take thirty at a time on an empty stomach with warm wine, and press it down with dry food. — Na Gyeombo 羅謙甫 (Donguibogam · Jeong)

Clinical commentary 臨床

Silkworm moth is the tradition's aphrodisiac and its holder of essence both — the moth that mates and dies — and the chapter uses it at two nyang, leading.
