Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑

治兒枕痛極苦. 當歸ㆍ白芍藥各二錢, 川芎一錢半, 白芷ㆍ桂心ㆍ蒲黃ㆍ牡丹皮ㆍ玄胡索ㆍ五靈脂ㆍ沒藥各七分. 右剉, 作一貼, 水煎, 入好醋, 空心服. 《醫鑑》

Translation

Treats the child's pillow paining to the extreme of suffering. Korean angelica and white peony, 2 don each; cnidium 1.5 don; angelica dahurica, cinnamon heart, cattail pollen, moutan bark, corydalis, flying-squirrel droppings, and myrrh, 7 fun each. Clinical commentary 臨床

'The child's pillow' is the classical name for the lump of retained blood a new mother can feel below the navel, and the formula is named for what it aims at: getting her up off the bed.
