Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑
大治小腸疝氣. 茴香 一斤, 以生薑一斤取自然汁浸一宿, 約薑汁盡入茴香, 然後入靑鹽二兩同炒赤, 取出焙燥爲末, 酒糊丸梧子大. 每三五十丸, 溫酒米飮任下. 此藥全實脾胃, 且有鹽能引入下部, 有薑汁專一發散而無疎導之害, 服之累效. 《入門》
Translation
Greatly treats small intestine mounting qi. Fennel 1 geun, steeped a night in the natural juice of 1 geun of fresh ginger until the ginger juice has all gone into the fennel; then add 2 nyang of blue salt, fry them red together, take out, bake dry and powder, and bind with wine paste into pills the size of a firmiana seed. Take thirty to fifty with warm wine or rice water. This medicine wholly makes the spleen and stomach solid; the salt can lead it into the lower part, and the ginger juice disperses without the harm of driving things out. — Uihak Immun 入門 (Donguibogam · Jeoneum)
