Clinical commentary 臨床

The chapter's answer when pain is severe in either the wind or the cold kind — it is named in both sections. Dragon and tiger are the two aconites, caowu and fuzi, blast-fried and used at a small dose; scorpion and gastrodia address the cramping. The bean-steeped wine used to take it is itself a wind medicine in this tradition, so the vehicle continues the formula's work. — Eui Young (Justin) Chung, L.Ac., Dipl. O.M.
