Translation

Mulberry root bark, wolfberry root bark, anemarrhena, platycodon, tangerine peel and unripe tangerine peel, 1 don each; sliced scutellaria and licorice, 5 fun each. Cut up, make one packet, and decoct in water. — Bogam 寶鑑 (Donguibogam · Haesu)

Clinical commentary 臨床

The same base as its namesake above but built the other way: no ginseng, no schisandra, and anemarrhena and scutellaria added instead, so the whole formula is cold. It is for the cough of plain lung heat, where the first is for lung heat in a patient who cannot take cooling alone. — Eui Young (Justin) Chung, L.Ac., Dipl. O.M.
