Clinical commentary 臨床

Sabaek-san — mulberry root bark and wolfberry root bark over rice and licorice — with ginseng and schisandra added for the patient and the two tangerine peels for the counterflow. The base is a cooling formula and the additions are not, which is what makes it usable in a cough that comes with retching: the heat is taken out of the lung while the stomach is settled. — Eui Young (Justin) Chung, L.Ac., Dipl.
