Ground to a powder; 2 don taken in water, twice daily. Also recorded in pill form: gypsum calcined until it reddens, ground fine, and bound with a vinegar-mixed rice paste into pills the size of parasol-tree seeds, 20 pills with warm water — this is the Single Gypsum Pill; also called Okaek-hwan (玉液丸), the Jade Fluid Pill.

Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑
除三焦火熱, 及胃熱ㆍ身熱ㆍ煩渴. 石膏 四兩, 甘草 二錢半. 硏如粉, 水服二錢, 日再. 亦治骨蒸熱. ○石膏(火煆, 令赤, 硏細), 醋和米糊丸梧子大, 溫水下二十丸, 名單石膏丸, 一名玉液丸. 《本草》 《入門》
Translation
Removes the fire heat of the triple burner, and stomach heat, body heat, and vexing thirst. Gypsum 4 nyang; licorice 2.5 don. Grind to a powder and take 2 don in water, twice daily.
