Translation

Treats all vacuities and the hundred detriments — every taxation damage. Vinegar-roasted turtle shell, blast-fried aconite, and cinnamon bark, 1 don each; Korean angelica, prepared rehmannia, and notopterygium, 0.75 don each; aquilaria, aucklandia, ginseng, morinda, white poria, achyranthes, astragalus, bupleurum, schizonepeta, pinellia, and large gentian, 0.5 don each; whole scorpion 0.25 don; roasted nutmeg 1 piece. Cut the above, make one packet, add 3 slices of ginger, 2 jujubes, and 2 scallions, decoct and take. — Deukhyo 得效 (Donguibogam · Heoro)

Clinical commentary 臨床

The strangest guest list in the tonification wing — a whole scorpion and a roasted nutmeg among the antlers and rehmannias, because the Deukhyo read 'every taxation damage' to include the depletion that has begun to knot. Supplementation with a burglar's tools in its pocket. — Eui Young (Justin) Chung, L.Ac., Dipl. O.M.
