Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑

治渴證愈後, 但口乾者. 升麻一錢半, 柴胡ㆍ當歸身ㆍ荊芥穗ㆍ防己ㆍ桃仁(硏) 各一錢, 黃柏(酒洗)ㆍ黃連(酒洗)ㆍ知母ㆍ(生)甘草各五分, 石膏ㆍ熟地黃各四分, 生地黃ㆍ細辛各二分, 杏仁六箇, 川椒二粒, 紅花少許. 右剉, 作一貼, 水煎服.

Translation

Treats cases where, after the thirst pattern has healed, only the mouth remains dry. Cimicifuga 1.5 don; bupleurum, angelica body, schizonepeta spikes, stephania, and ground peach kernel, 1 don each; wine-washed phellodendron, wine-washed coptis, anemarrhena, and raw licorice, 0.5 don each; gypsum and prepared rehmannia, 0.4 don each; raw rehmannia and asarum, 0.2 don each; 6 apricot kernels; 2 grains of Sichuan pepper; carthamus a small amount.
