Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑

治呑酸嘈雜. 蒼朮二兩, 香附一兩半, 瓜蔞仁ㆍ半夏各一兩, 黃連ㆍ黃芩各五錢. 右爲末, 麪糊和丸梧子大, 茶淸下五七十丸. 《入門》

Translation

Treats sour swallowing with gnawing epigastric vexation. Atractylodes 2 nyang; cyperus 1.5 nyang; trichosanthes seed and pinellia, 1 nyang each; coptis and scutellaria, 5 don each. Powder the above and bind with a wheat-flour paste into pills the size of parasol-tree seeds; take 50–70 pills with clear tea. — Immun 入門 (Donguibogam · Naesang)

Clinical commentary 臨床

The bridge formula between this section and the next — one jar for the two complaints that so often share a patient: the sour rise and the gnawing not-quite-hunger beneath it.
