Translation

Treats the six pulses vacuous and soft, with pain in the heart on coughing and a rasping in the throat as though about to spit. Poria with pine root, ginseng, polygala, tetrapanax, ophiopogon, astragalus and platycodon 7 pun each; schisandra and licorice 3 pun each. Cut up, make one packet, add 2 slices of ginger, decoct in water and take. — Jesaeng 濟生 (Donguibogam · Maek)

Clinical commentary 臨床

Nine medicinals at small doses, mostly for the heart and lung — and the indication is a pulse rather than a symptom, which is what puts it in this chapter. Coughing that hurts the heart is the Heart chapter's territory, reached here from the wrist. — Eui Young (Justin) Chung, L.Ac., Dipl. O.M.
