Translation
Two large leeches, placed in a porcelain bowl and starved seven days. Take the blood of a black-boned cockerel, grind pine-soot ink thickly into it, and pour it into a pig's bladder; let the leeches suck their fill. Then prick the leeches with a needle so the blood liquid flows out, and paint it on the beard and hair, leaving 2 pun at the root. The liquid soaks in and enters the flesh, and for a year the beard and hair are luxuriant and black, and soft besides. — Dansim 丹心 (Donguibogam · Mobal)
