治虛勞, 補腎益精血. 五味子 六兩, 肉蓯蓉 四兩, 兎絲子ㆍ杜沖 各三兩, 山藥 二兩, 赤石脂ㆍ茯神ㆍ山茱萸ㆍ巴戟ㆍ牛膝ㆍ澤瀉ㆍ熟地黃 各一兩. 右爲末, 蜜丸梧子大. 溫酒或米飮下七九十丸. ○服此藥七日後, 身輕體潤, 面光, 手足煖, 音聲淸亮, 是其驗也. 十日後, 長肌肉, 通中入腦, 鼻必酸疼, 勿怪. 《局方》
Translation
Treats vacuity taxation; supplements the Kidney and boosts essence and Blood. Schisandra 6 nyang; cistanche 4 nyang; cuscuta and eucommia, 3 nyang each; dioscorea 2 nyang; red halloysite, hostwood poria, cornus, morinda, achyranthes, alisma, and prepared rehmannia, 1 nyang each. Powder the above and bind with honey into pills the size of parasol-tree seeds; take 70–90 pills with warm wine or thin rice water. — Seven days after taking this medicine, the body grows light and lustrous, the face shines, hands and feet warm, and the voice becomes clear and bright: these are its proofs.
