Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑

治謀慮不決, 膽虛氣上溢口苦. 黃芩ㆍ人參ㆍ甘草各一錢, 遠志七分, 官桂五分, 苦參ㆍ茯神各三分. 右剉, 作一貼, 水煎服. 《河間》

Translation

Treats deliberations that cannot be settled, with the gallbladder vacuous and its qi overflowing upward and the mouth bitter. Scutellaria, ginseng and licorice 1 don each; polygala 7 pun; cinnamon 5 pun; flavescent sophora and poria with pine root 3 pun each. Cut up, make one packet, decoct in water and take. — Hagan 河間 (Donguibogam · Guseol)

Clinical commentary 臨床

謀慮不決 — plans and deliberations that will not settle. The Gallbladder chapter makes that bowel the official of decision, and here the failure to decide is treated as a vacuity and supplemented rather than drained — the opposite of the formula above, for the same symptom. — Eui Young (Justin) Chung, L.Ac., Dipl.
