Treats belching from phlegm-fire in the stomach. Urine-processed cyperus 1 nyang; soft gypsum 7 don; prepared pinellia, blast-fried arisaema, and dry-fried gardenia, 5 don each. Powder the above and bind with steamed cake soaked in ginger juice into pills the size of parasol-tree seeds; take 50 pills with a ginger decoction. Also called Yeonseokgo-hwan, treating gnawing vexation. — Immun 入門 · Uigam 醫鑑 (Donguibogam · Naesang)

Clinical commentary 臨床

The belch traced to a hot swamp and answered accordingly — the arisaema pair drains the phlegm, gypsum cools the fire beneath it, and processed cyperus unties the constraint that keeps pumping the gas upward. One pill, two names, two adjacent complaints: the section's economy at work. — Eui Young (Justin) Chung, L.Ac., Dipl. O.M.
