Donguibogam 東醫寶鑑
治一切消渴. 大黃 一兩半, 甘草(麤剉) 四兩, 黑豆 五升(先煮三沸, 去苦水). 右以井水一桶, 同煮爛熟, 令病人食豆飮汁, 無時, 未三劑, 病已. 《宣明》
Translation
Treats all manner of wasting-thirst. Rhubarb 1.5 nyang; licorice (coarsely cut) 4 nyang; black soybeans 5 doe (first boiled to three risings, the bitter water discarded). Simmer all together thoroughly in a bucket of well water; let the patient eat the beans and drink the liquor at any time.
